Kym’s Kitchen NZ came about as we’ve now decided to share our love of fine cuisine with others.
We are also interested in the history of food – both the ingredients and how they have become prevalent in a culture’s cuisine.
For example – how did pasta become a staple of the Italians and now much of the western world?
Well…. Marco Polo brought back to his home in Venice the recipe for noodles he’d enjoyed during his 13th century voyages to Asia. Over time more Italians cooked the noodles and adapted the recipe into various pastas and shapes. Today pasta is a staple for most Kiwi families.
